Fashion Week Street Style

With New York having freezing temperatures during fashion week this year, you can bet that attendees certainly dressed for warmth! Here’s what we saw on the sidewalks of New York Fashion week:

Fur Coats:
Try staying warm this season with a fur coat! Since fur tends to be quite pricey, try donning a faux fur jacket to save the big bucks. A word of caution: If you get stuck in the rain or snow while wearing a fur coat, make sure to take proper care of it and get it cleaned at a professional fur cleaner- not just a regular dry cleaner.

Camo:
Camo jackets can be tricky to pull off, because you want to look fashion forward, instead of on the front lines! Roll up the sleeves, accessorize your jacket with your own pins and patches, and glam it up by wearing a bright lipstick, or sparkly necklace. Since a camo jacket is a trendy statement piece instead of a basic everyday coat, don’t spend too much money. If you want, you can find camo jackets at most thrift stores!

Trench Coats:
How can you go wrong with a classic trench coat and pair of riding boots? This simple style was seen on many fashion week goers and will forever be in style! A trench coat is a basic wardrobe staple; don’t be afraid of splurging to buy a coat that will last longer! You won’t regret it.

Bomber Jackets:
The best part of these fun jackets is that they are so versatile! Try out bomber jackets in different materials until you find your favorite. Feeling like pairing a silky lightweight bomber jacket with your favorite flouncy skirt? Go for it! Or for a comfier look, pair a wool bomber jacket with your best pair of boyfriend jeans.
