How to Dress Like Your Favorite Fashion Icons From History

Audrey Hepburn: Though her little black dress, oversized pearls, and dark sunglasses worn in the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” made Audrey a huge fashion sensation, her personal style was more subdued. Ms. Hepburn’s essential clothing items included capris pants, feminine blouses, and silk scarves.  Her favorite accessories included floppy hats, ballet flats, and cat eye sunglasses.

Brigitte Bardot: As a fashion forward French actress and model, this blonde-haired beauty started clothing trends of her own. The “Bardot top” which shows off the collarbone, and ends at the shoulder is still a classic staple found in many women’s wardrobes today. Brigitte was also known for wearing mini skirts, headscarves, and black cat-eye liner.

Princess Diana: Though her Elizabeth & David Emanuel wedding dress initially put the Princess on the map, her momentum in the fashion world continued on. Diana was known for her elegant yet simplistic style. She often wore tailored blazers with denim pants to casual events, and accessorized with riding boots, belts, and pearl jewelry.

Jacqueline Kennedy: Jackie-O was not only the First Lady of the country, but also a leader in fashion. She took out uncomfortable stockings and tight waisted crinolines and replaced them with loose-fitting shift dresses and trendy pillbox hats. Now women everywhere were flocking to imitate her style. Jackie accessorized with oversized sunglasses, kitten heels, and gloves.
