HOW TO WEAR THE CAMO TREND

YES, SIR!

Attention Ladies:  Salute to style this season in military-inspired pieces because you are in the army now! When it comes to adding an edge this season; camo trend is still a fierce strategy that you cannot miss. When you think about ’military’ it may sound a bit restrictive and a sometimes kind of customized; but designers have proved us the opposite with an infinite play of colors, patterns and cuts that will make you want to try this look. So, if olive green and khaki are not your thing, don’t worry: you can pull it off in any color as long the military vibe is there somewhere, now becoming more versatile than we were used to see. It doesn’t just mean coats with epaulettes and gold buttons anymore.

Compare to the old days, we can assure that the so-called military look has been reinvented by adding an important amount of items from all the decades. The mixture of all the Grunge-Punk-40s-50s-70s fashions is bringing this trend alive, for example: think of a military look in a 40s army-inspired dress with buckles and belts or maybe stick to your favorite 70s boho-chic style by using a green or gray combat print top with an army jacket over flirty long skirt and boots and don’t forget the 90s grunge with motorcycle boots, oversized sweaters and camouflage jackets.

However, If you think that camo prints can be too literal you can always try sharp blazers, tailored jackets and seek trousers in neutral colors. Basic items such as skinny jeans, leggings, heavy looking boots and some inspired army attire (coat, buttoned shirt or gloves) are also a great choice, same as feminine pleated dresses or ankle-laced boots. Now that you know that these looks are commanding attention in a major way, are you ready to serve?

NEW YEAR - NEW LOOK

The 2013 is finally gone; so what better way to start this new year than blowing everyone’s mind with a new look? I think it is time to consider which hairstyles will continue being trendy next season too. There were so many amazing styles that have become popular and also some others that have survived previous seasons and will remain in the list of trendy hairstyles for a long time. Let’s take a look to some of them.

First one is surely Wavy Hairstyle, no matter if you wear it long or short: loose, carefree random waves. Plait sections of various sizes of your hair overnight to perfect the look. The trend of previous season was natural looking hairstyles and I should say that this trend is quite strong! The Slick Boy-do is a huge trend this season, whether you have hair down to your waist or a barely-there pixie crop, this look can work for you. A side-parted slicked down 'do works well for office or parties, simply style when wet and add plenty of product to keep your locks in place and looking glossy. Buns were also a major trend in 2013; they’re particularly easy to pull up and very elegant mainly when you pick the exact outfit and accessories according to your hairstyle.  Another great choice to update your look has to be the Old World Braids, this time around will be more subtle and simple evoking a romantic past, a messy structure with diffused curls into thick skeins and tendrils around the face. A timeless hairstyle that we can’t leave behind is the Ponytail, this season is coming back with a twist to make it fun, long and exaggerate. Add a small gold detail such a barrette, a hair b
and or couple of pins to highlight this look.
